The Violin and Guitar ensemble Duo46 is our Director of Guitar Studies Prof. Dr. Matthew Gould and Violinist Professor Beth Ilana Schneider-Gould. The group is performing in New York, Texas, Germany and Italy in June and July 2012. Joining Duo46 is pianist Dr. Nathanael May, and together they form the Strung Out Trio. The music has been composed for the trio and will feature a new work commissioned by the Barlow Foundation at Brigham Young University in the United States. This prestigious award allowed German composer to compose the new trio that incorporates a micro-tonal musical language and employs an E-Bow and cello Bow for the guitar.
